Oman Oil Marketing Company has announcing its final call to all prospective SMEs looking to participate in Tasweik. Launched with the full support of Al Raffd Fund, the unique initiative has been widely welcomed by the general public for providing eight select Omani entrepreneurs with the opportunity to win RO8,000 in funding for branding and marketing purposes. Participating SMEs can register by sharing their applications through: www.alraffd.gov.om or www.oomco.com.

According to a company release, winners will be chosen based on their interview score, the clarity of their objectives, supporting evidence, and presentations. Candidates will be required to provide a complete overview of their SME project, plans, and their proposed usage of the funds. In a circumstance where two or more projects are tied during their initial assessments, precedence will be given to the project that is more profitable and for the length of time they have been a part of Al Raffd Fund.

Al Muatassim bin Hamood Al Amri, Communication Support Specialist, said, “Since our inception, we have focused our CSR strategy on driving economic and social growth through local-based projects that empower individuals and families to harness their full potential. Tasweik is in line with that vision and will enable eight SMEs from across the Sultanate to achieve their aspirations. In that regard, we strongly encourage all participants to make sure they are in full alignment with our criteria and have put together the strongest possible proposals to win.”

As part of Tasweik, participating SMEs will be inspected by two committees representing Oman Oil Marketing Company and Al Raffd Fund. The committees will verify the details of all applications and ensure SMEs are in full compliance with Tasweik’s criteria.
